Sister Aloysius Comes to Mercyville is a lovely story which teaches many valuable lessons on the Catholic faith. The book series is a helpful tool for Catholic parents. The beauty and majesty of the Catholic faith is related in a story for young and old alike. I cannot wait to read more about the adventures of Sister Aloysius!”

— Erin Pierce, homeschooling mother of seven

“Really enjoyed the story. There are not many books that have a nun in them. I read the book to my class - at the beginning I asked the class how Sister could find the church. It took a minute, but they found the steeple.  I learned a few things from reading this book too. Enjoyed it!”

— Kathy Cain, Kindergarten teacher, Holy Cross, Champaign, IL

“What a wonderful Catholic book for a parent and child to share! This book not only teaches about the consecrated life, it also introduces many different saints in a clear and appealing way. We need more clearly Catholic children's books like this one so that the Faith can be introduced to our future evangelists.”

— Cindy Howie, Direction of Religious Education, Holy Cross, Champaign, IL

Sister Aloysius Comes to Mercyville is a lovely story about offering up our suffering, giving our lives to God, and following the example of Saints. Sister Aloysius is so joyful and kind - we all need someone like her in our lives.”

— Elizabeth Kelley, Catholic educator, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade religion teacher, Holy Cross Catholic School, Champaign, IL

“Wonderfully written with lovely artwork!  This book series beautifully teaches the Catholic faith for children.  Set in a story line with a positive and hopeful young nun, her sharing of her faith with the children is uplifting and inspiring.  The series will engage young children in following this bright nun's story and life while learning the Catholic faith in both knowledge and love.  Adults will enjoy the series as well while pre-school children will delight in following along with the illustrations while being read to.  Makes a great gift, too.”

— Rebecca Krutsinger, artist and retired PSR Coordinator

“The perfect Children's Catholic book!  As a Catholic mother of 2 boys, it's difficult to find books or a series with nuns.  I want my boys to know as much as possible about our Catholic faith and some history.  This story does just that!  The colorful artwork along with the story line is perfect and keeps my boys' attention.  I highly suggest to purchase all the series for special occasions for your children and family!”

— Emily

“Finally, a picture book about religious sisters for younger children! I have been looking for a picture book with religious sisters in it, and I have had very limited success.  The other books I could find were biographies of saints written for older kids.  So I was really excited to find Sister Aloysius!  The illustrations are beautiful, and the text is simple enough to read to my young child.  There is a lot of good Catholic teachings in here, as well, which may mean more to my child as she gets older.  I plan on getting the other two books in the series soon as well!”

— Peter B. O'Dwyer

“Sister Aloysius Comes to Mercyville is a delightful story that shows the joy of a young Sister setting out onto her first mission.  How she finds joy along the way to her mission, by offering the heat of the day to Our Lord, meeting a young student that will be in her class, and teaching him about how many Sisters take on a new name from a particular saint.  She helps the student understand how God has changed even some of the names in the Scriptures.”

— Sister John Margaret, Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia

“Sister Aloysius Arrives at Our Lady of Sorrows is a beautiful story that teaches children and adults what the Seven Sorrows of Our Lady are and how she carried this suffering.  Not only this, it is a story that shows the importance of family prayer.  It also teaches children and parents how to pray the Seven Sorrows Chaplet to Our Lady with the meditations that go with it.  I would recommend this book to nurture your faith and those in your family and to ask Our Lady to help you with the sorrows in your life's journey.”

— Sister John Margaret, Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia

“Sister Aloysius Gets Ready for the First Day of School begins with Sister Aloysius offering her prayer to God at the beginning of each day.  She settles herself in the quiet of the chapel to speak to God from the prayers deep in her heart.  It also teaches the value of different aspects of the Church - the use of holy water and greeting our Lord through genuflection and Jesus in the tabernacle.”
